Emirates Visa Medical Requirements
All foreign nationals applying for work permits or residency visas in the UAE must provide proof that they are healthy and free from infectious diseases. They must pass the medical fitness exams conducted by government-approved medical test centers in the UAE. To safeguard the health of the UAE community, the routine medical test to be conducted includes screening for diseases such as HIV and TB.
It is advised to get yourself checked in your own country first if you feel that you have a communicable disease.
Additionally, tests for syphilis and Hepatitis B should be negative if you belong to one of the following workforce categories:
- Domestic staff such as housekeepers, nannies, and drivers
- People working in saloons and beauty parlors
- Employees of health clubs
- Nursery staff
- Employees who handle food at cafés and restaurants
- Domestic helpers must not test positive for pregnancy
